He is the Senior Editor of Brave Words & Bloody Knuckles, and also contributes to Guitar World, Lollipop, CMJ, Outsider (Aus.), Record Collector (UK), Classic Rock (UK), Roadie Crew (Brazil), hmv.com, hardradio.com, and metalshop.com. Born and raised in British Columbia, with a B.A. in English and an M.B.A. in Marketing, Popoff has also been the owner of The Perfect Page, a graphic design and print brokering firm.
