Description
Unheard Screams is based on a true story about a girl named Thelma who grew up as a CODA and struggled between two worlds: the hearing and the deaf. Isolated in a farming country outside a small town, she lived a life of silence and loss of identity. Thelma was the only one in her biological family that could hear and speak. Moreover, she tragically faced the destructive screaming horrors of sexual abuse from her deaf father, which led her to the abyss of despair and hopelessness. She had only one hope left.
"Morgan's testimony reveals heaven's strategy of how Jesus rescues people from the clutches of the enemy of our souls."
-Richard Samuel, Fishhook International
"Morgan's book stayed with me for days after reading it. The haunting story of a life of silence and torment. Yet through it all, she developed a desire for union with Jesus and became the beautiful, joyful, and loving person I know today. Her survival story is an inspiring journey that provides hope and teaches forgiveness. It's a reminder that you never know what those around you are struggling through and that with faith, we all have the ability to rise above our past."
-Christine M. Dixon, RN
"The transformation and healing Morgan has gone through have been impressive and inspiring. She has demonstrated incredible tenacity in the face of many obstacles handed to her by life. She continues to grow and stretch herself. Morgan has chosen to reject the lies of this world and to see herself through God's eyes: that she is a child of God who has established her identity. I've had the privilege and honor to be in the front seat of her hard work, and through counseling, coaching, and lots of prayers, we have worked together until she, like a beautiful butterfly, spread her wings. I hope you can see the growth and confidence she has shown through her powerful story she has penned-a powerful read."
