When a blizzard hits Nashville, Mary Frances is rescued by a stranger who just so happens to be Matt Archer, the architect of the Veritas Endex. Stranded for four days at Matt's log cabin, Mary Frances learns that there is more than meets the eye with both Matt and the log cabin. The snowy weekend at Matt's cabin leads Mary Frances on a path she never expected. After the blizzard, Mary Francesstruggles through personal issues with the help of her friend Dagny. Matt continues his work on the Endex with his friend Zander Fromm. As society slips towards chaos, the Endex proves to be accurate in its ability to predict. Management at Veritas wrestles with the realization they have information that the general public does not. The Federal Reserve discovers the work being done at Veritas and visits Nashville to learn more. Unexpectedly, Mary Frances and Dagny find themselves a part of it all with Matt and Zander. Mary Frances begins to understand the urgency in the situation Matt has predicted. As civilization continues a downward spiral, Mary Frances finds herself on a journey to safety. Despite the hardship and uncertainty, she finds the life of which she's always dreamed. Life after the Endex will not be anything like Mary Frances could have imagined.
