Born in Kyiv, Ginczanka was raised in Rowne, where her parents settled after fleeing from the Russian Civil War. Ginczanka was highly active in the Skamander poetic group, and her writing for \u003ci\u003eSzpilki\u003c\/i\u003e and \u003ci\u003eSkamander\u003c\/i\u003e magazines earned her a reputation as one of the most talented poets of the interwar period. In 1936, Ginczanka published her only volume of poetry, \u003ci\u003eO Centaurach\u003c\/i\u003e (About Centaurs). In 1945, Ginczanka was arrested and executed in Krakow, shortly before the end of World War II. \u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cb\u003eAlissa Valles \u003c\/b\u003eis the author of the poetry collection \u003ci\u003eHospitium\u003c\/i\u003e.
