hazyn forsythe (they/she) is a poet and creative whose work centres around mental health and the sapphic and queer experience.
i think this feeling is hope is hazyn's first solo poetry collection, featuring pieces written over several years whilst dealing with and recovering from various mental health experiences. it shows the raw journey from being a teenager battling with ocd and intrusive thoughts, through the stress of being away from home for the first time for university causing a development into psychosis, to the process of recovery. through the years, hazyn not only found out how to live with mental illness, but grew to understand themselves more deeply and come to terms with their sexuality and personal identity.
