About the Author
Suzanne was born in Eau Claire, WI. She practiced law for a decade in New York and Chicago. Following the death of her first husband, she changed carriers to help people navigate through complex health needs.

Born with a complex chronic illness herself, Suzanne was unable to be active like other children. She often felt 'different, ' and spent a lot of time alone. She has always loved animals, and as a child imagined a horse living in her backyard.

At age 50, Suzanne bought a foal named Hercules (a/k/a Li'L Herc), as a way to "take back her childhood." What she found was just that - the more time she spent with the horse, the more she discovered the happy little girl who had waited a lifetime to emerge. Through this relationship, she experienced emotional growth-the healing of her inner-child.

Suzanne had early goals of being a teacher, which derived for her love of children despite not having had any of her own due to her illness.

Li'L Herc has allowed Suzanne to combine her love of horses and children through the books that she will publish. Her goal by bringing Li'L Herc into the world is to show kindness and with a hope that they will bring joy, learning and healing to people of all ages. Beatrice Marie Bulteau was born in Sancerre, France, and grew up in the Val de Loire, south of Paris. She began drawing horses at 4 years old, later delving into watercolors as a self-taught painter. In 1980, Beatrice moved to Portugal where she worked as an illustrator for news stations and, at the same time, began a series of studies of horses and movement. Since 1985, her work has been exhibited worldwide, including 25 states in the USA, granting her recognition as a watercolorist and specialist in impressionistic equine art. Beatrice has published 2 art books, and several digital hybrids and animation films.
