We who are members of Alcoholics Anonymous are over one hundred men and women who have recovered from a seemingly hopeless condition of mind and body. Thus, the main purpose of this book is to inform other alcoholics, in a detailed way, HOW WE HAVE BEEN ABLE TO RECOVER. We hope that these pages will be convincing enough to the reader affected by alcoholism, so that they will not seek further certainty on the subject. We share the idea that this communication of our experiences will also help others to better understand the alcoholic. There are many who still do not understand that the alcoholic is a very sick person. On the other hand, we are sure that our new way of life offers advantages for everyone.
