Descripción
This book is a study of the political nature of war based on a reading of On War (Vom Kriege), the masterpiece of Carl Clausewitz, the greatest military theorist of all time. The book attempts to reconstruct—based on classical realist philosophy—the fundamental concepts that shape the scientific apparatus of On War, in which a series of fundamental metaphysical keys explain how historically weak countries have been able to defeat great powers.
Furthermore, it relates Clausewitz's thought to the course of world history, showing the objective conditions that made possible the emergence of a plenary theory of war. The author emphasizes the importance of considering Clausewitz as a truly useful and current theorist for explaining present history and the persistence of wars, beyond intellectual fads.
Clausewitz. The Political Science of War. Philosophy, Army, and People constitutes a sustained inquiry into the reciprocal influences between the philosophical field, military forces as the hard core of States, and peoples as the fundamental subjects of politics, in peace and in war. Pablo Antonio Anzaldi holds a Ph.D. in Political Science from the Universidad Católica Argentina. He teaches at the Universidad Católica Argentina, Universidad Nacional de Tres de Febrero, Eseade, and Universidad Católica de La Plata.
He published Los años 70 a fondo. Guerrilleros, militares y familiares with the same publisher.
