Descripción

Roller derby skater Genna McNeil's life is in a downward tailspin. Mounting credit card debt, recent injury, a dead-end job, and pressure from her brother-in-law has put her in a precarious situation. Coupled with her immense grief following the death of her mother, she believes her last chance at happiness would occur only if a miracle came along. . . Until one day when she discovers her great-great-grandmother Genevieve's diary. Genna is intrigued by her ancestress' tale of a glamorous debutante season among the wealthy summering in Saratoga Springs in 1913. Genevieve's idyllic existence consists of going to the races and regatta, attending formal balls, and a betrothal to an English earl engineered by her social-climbing mother. When Genevieve's story of privilege ends in devastating loss, Genna is motivated to dig further to uncover details about her family's past. On a mission to learn more about Genevieve's life-changing summer, Genna unexpectedly travels back in time to 1913, where she uses her unique, modern-day skill set to take matters into her own hands, altering her family's fate forever.
