Descripción
The rhythmic development and the stories of the poems that make up El aire en la mano are based on (or have been suggested or completed by) a musical piece that is part of a set of great universal works. In their totality, and individually, these poems propose that great universal works (in music, in this case) contain moments that can only be measured by the unique experiences of those who listen to masters such as J. S. Bach or W. A. Mozart. The poems are, then, a journey through a personal landscape where poetry and music merge to visualize decidedly human moments. Through reading these poems, one comes to understand that the poetic-musical events of the collection point towards interpretations that perhaps correspond to the act of writing (living) life with honest, albeit fragile, dignity. Also, it could be said that they aim to persistently feel the sad and indelible happiness that a fleeting love can leave, or even that of loving, unhurriedly, someone after death.
All this being said, the most important idea in El aire en la mano is that each musical piece that goes hand in hand with each poem is open to the interpretation of the listener and the reader. If the poet offers an auditory reading with words, it is because he perfectly understands that the interpretation of such pieces is nothing more than a possible variation (or digression) on an unfading universe.
