A commemorative edition of Love in the Time of Cholera, a great classic by Gabriel García Márquez and an essential novel of contemporary literature. After the spectacular commemorative edition of
One Hundred Years of Solitude, Chilean artist Luisa Rivera once again pays homage to García Márquez with a series of unpublished illustrations that recreate the author's extraordinary universe.
"It was inevitable: the scent of bitter almonds always reminded him of the fate of thwarted love." Thus begins one of the most wonderful love stories in universal literature. An unrequited love for half a century with a small Caribbean port town as its setting. The Colombian Nobel laureate presents the magical relationship between Fermina Daza and Florentino Ariza as a tropical mix of plants and clay that the master molds and fantasizes with at his pleasure between the territories of myth and legend. The juices, smells, and flavors of the tropics nourish a unique and original prose that has won the favor of millions of readers worldwide.
