About the Author
Luis Zueco (Borja, Zaragoza, 1979) is director of the Castles of Grisel and Bulbuente, two restored fortresses converted into charming accommodations and event venues. In addition, he is an industrial engineer, a graduate in History, and holds a master's degree in Artistic and Historical Research. He is a member of the Spanish Association of Friends of Castles and collaborates, as an expert in heritage and culture, with various media outlets.

He has achieved international critical and public success with his fascinating Medieval Trilogy: El castillo, La ciudad, and El monasterio, three novels that take us through addictive intrigue plots set in the most important architectural scenarios of the era. His later books, El mercader de libros (Ediciones B, 2020) and El cirujano de almas (Ediciones B, 2021), have established him as one of the most important novelists in our country.

In 2023, he published El tablero de la reina, a work about the origins of modern chess and the rise to power of Isabella the Catholic, with which he began the "A New World" duology, dedicated to the moment when the Middle Ages disappear and the Modern Age begins. In 2024, this duology concludes with El mapa de un mundo nuevo, also published by Ediciones B.
