Descripción
One of the men who has most deeply penetrated the knowledge of God has been Saint John, the beloved disciple. And the center of his message is the person of Christ, revealer of the Father: "No one has ever seen God; the only God, who is at the Father's side, he has made him known" (Jn 1:18-19). The reflections contained in "The Christ of Saint John" arise from the meditation and preaching of the fourth gospel. There are thirty-six relatively short chapters that facilitate the reading and successive meditation on different aspects of the divine person of the Word, as the Holy Spirit wished to make it reach us through John, apostle and evangelist. And they allow us to pause peacefully to savor and contemplate each of the various wonders that the Lord reveals to us in his person and in his work. All of them normally have, at the end, some simple suggestions and applications to improve our daily lives.
