About the Author

Alma Flor Ada is Professor Emerita at the University of San Francisco, and a researcher at the Radcliffe Institute at Harvard University. She is an award-winning author of numerous children's books and pedagogical works, and a prominent figure in bilingual education in the United States. Her work in transformative education is internationally recognized.

F. Isabel Campoy is a linguist from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in second language acquisition. She is a prolific author of children's and young adult books in both English and Spanish, across a variety of genres. She has been recognized for her creative and pedagogical work and is a member of the North American Academy of the Spanish Language.

Colin Baker is Professor Emeritus at Bangor University. He has three bilingual children and has spoken to parents and teachers about bilingualism for over 20 years. His numerous publications on bilingualism include Foundations Of Bilingual Education and Bilingualism, which has been translated into Japanese, Spanish, Latvian, Greek, and Mandarin.
