Descripción
(Devarim - Deuteronomy 27:8)
The present work aims to clarify the biblical text through the oral tradition of the people of Israel, in order to facilitate the understanding and dissemination of the word of God to all humanity, allowing access to the original text (provided in Hebrew) and a faithful translation of it. To achieve this purpose, the structure of the text has the following characteristics:
1.- Fidelity of the translation to the original text. To achieve a better translation, we use the original Hebrew text and the oral tradition of the people of Israel.
2.- Transliteration of biblical names and places We have changed the Spanish versions of biblical terms. In order to allow the correct pronunciation1 of these, we have added special symbols and accents to indicate sounds that have no representation in Spanish.
3.- Hebrew text with punctuation, cantillation and phonetics The present edition contains the original Hebrew text vocalized and with cantillation, and below it is the phonetics. To achieve a greater understanding, the Hebrew text has been placed opposite the Spanish text.
4.- Annexes These allow for the in-depth study of different topics.
5.- Commentaries The commentaries are based on the oral tradition of the people of Israel, which was received by Moshé (Moses) on Mount Sinai and passed down to our days. These are located below the Spanish text, clarifying the understanding of the indicated verses and explaining the etymology of the terms, that is, their origin in their root from the Hebrew language.
