In this family, everyone is a suspect.

You won't be able to stop reading until you find out who the killer is!

Somewhere between cozy mystery and classic detective fiction, the Navarro brothers' debut novel is a love letter to the genre, an irresistible homage to Agatha Christie, Conan Doyle, Hammett and Chandler. An engrossing mystery full of intrigue, surprises, unexpected victims, unlikely suspects and charismatic protagonists in an isolated setting where the reader takes on the role of detective.

In their remote mansion in the Pyrenees, the Watsons are preparing for the Christmas holidays like any family: eagerly awaited reunions, plentiful food and drink, and a strict promise to avoid talking about politics. But the Watsons aren't just any family. They count among their members the country's three most celebrated police inspectors: Richard Watson, the patriarch and an old-school detective; Eugenio Watson, his son, obsessed with exhaustive and scientific analysis of the scene of the crime; and Florencia Watson, his quirky and insightful granddaughter.

When a scream cuts through the frigid air on Christmas morning, the Watson's mansion itself becomes a crime scene. Miriam, the eldest sister of the clan, has been found dead in her room, in a pool of blood but with no visible wounds and showing every sign of having been strangled. Only one thing is for sure: The killer is in the house. Richard, Eugenio and Florencia - grandfather, son and granddaughter - must put their different methods to work to solve the case before the murderer strikes again.

The detectives of My Family and Other Killers

Richard Watson: Grandfather. Retired homicide inspector and a legend in the force. An old-school detective: always follows his instincts.

Eugenio Watson: Son. Active homicide inspector. Very formal, but always pleasant. Obsessed with the scientific analysis of crime evidence.

Florencia Watson: Granddaughter. Future homicide inspector. A K-Pop fan, she's the wild card of the family. A true genius of deduction.

Each of the three inspectors pays homage to a different era and storytelling style in the noir genre. Florencia Watson recalls detectives from Agatha Christie's novels: she's as improbable an investigator as Miss Marple and as eccentric as Poirot or Benoit Blanc from Knives Out. Her grandfather, Richard Watson, is an updated and aged version of Phillip Marlowe or Sam Spade. He's a tough guy in an era when tough guys are no longer in vogue. As for Eugenio, he shares traits with both Sherlock Holmes, for his ability to reconstruct events through evidence and his lack of social skills, and the more modern C.S.I. police.

The contrasts between them give rise to a competitiveness that drives each Watson to be the first to solve the crime and prove the superiority of his or her method. Who will win out in the end?
