NATURAL VIOLENCE is the debut full-length poetry collection from Jennifer Brown. She lives with her partner, Bret, and a funny-looking dog named Rowlf in Montpelier, VT, having recently left her home state of North Carolina and the too-hot south behind for good. Once upon a time, she studied writing and literature at the universities of Tennessee in Chattanooga, Maryland in College Park, and Houston, collecting a BA, MFA, and Ph.D along with the immeasurable benefit of spending time among fascinating humans. She has taught creative writing and literature in high schools, colleges, summer programs, and festivals and has held residencies at the Weymouth Center for the Arts and the Vermont Studio Center. Her work has appeared in Copper Nickel, Orison Anthology, Cimarron Review, Zone 3, Twyckenham Notes, and Cincinnati Review.
