Descripción
A woman puts her hopes in a doll to make up for the years she abandoned her daughter; another, accompanied by a varied group of mourners, searches her dead father's belongings for memories that will keep her close to him; two friends travel to an idyllic town near a nuclear reactor and wrestle with tensions and resentments that have plagued them for years; a gravedigger with a fresh take on life; a woman who looks for insights in a story to understand her relationship with a couple in Buenos Aires. This volume, now offered by Random House after being published to excellent reviews in other countries, is representative of the depth of Trías's literary universe, its exploration of the unsaid, exquisite prose and emphasis on fragility. "You Will Not Dream of Flowers is a collection of stories that link death and beauty. It approaches the world with mistrust of our usual senses. These are stories of people in transit, daily betrayals, pain too vast to fit within the sum of our days." - María José Navia ENGLISH DESCRIPTION "This is his strength: narrating the seemingly unnarratable, the seeds of pain, our precarious attachment to life." - Magela Baudoin and Giovanna Rivero
