Scott Westerfeld es un conocido autor de ciencia ficción. Nació en el estado de Texas (5 de Mayo de 1963) y ahora vive entre Sydney y Nueva York. En 2004 presentó Midnighters, la primera novela que le supuso reconocimiento internacional, pero ha sido la tetralogía «Traición» lo que le ha consagrado definitivamente como best seller mundial.
