About the author SIU KAM WEN (Xiao Jin-Rong) was born in Zhongshan, Guangdong province, China. He lived from the age of nine in Lima, Peru, where he learned to speak and write in Spanish. He has published two collections of short stories: El Tramo Final (1986) and La Primera Espada del Imperio (1988). Today he lives in Hawaii.
