Sacraments contain appropriate rubrics, and rites and rituals presented include the Eucharist, Initiations, Baptism and the mysterious and powerful Mystery of the Five Seals. The selections in this book are based on, and inspired by, those found in a number of sacred texts from various religious traditions which flourished in Europe, North Africa and West Asia during the First through Seventh Centuries CE, most prominently those traditions considered Sethian Gnostic. Some of the material herein has been published previously in "The Book of the Stranger" and "Mysteries of the Gnostic Ascent;" however, this material has been revised and supplemented with additional content. About the Author
Jeremy Puma is a Gnostic philosopher who practices a crazy, mixed-up spirituality based on the writings found in the Nag Hammadi Library and Zen Buddhism. He writes for people interested in a simple, mature approach to gnosis that doesn't rely on unprovable claims of apostolic succession or New Age neo-Templar silliness, but instead acknowledges the limitations of the material. He prefers a simple, direct style as opposed to the hoity-toity "thee and thou" filled silliness of more popular neognostic organizations, and doesn't think you need fancy hats or magic wands to be a Gnostic. For this reason, he will always be broke and marginal, at best, but that's okay. Jeremy currently resides in Seattle, Washington. He is available for speaking engagements, complimentary meals, and children's parties.
