Description

A decades old murder of a beautiful socialite - perhaps finally solved. A sharper State Senator who builds a City By The Sea. A stressed out policeman who assassinates the mayor one morning... without any regrets. These are some of the real-life characters who populate Will Hughes, History of Long Beach. Corrupt politicians. Crooked deals. And an amazing city beside the majestic Atlantic - a short rail ride from the Big Apple. At the urging of the Long Beach Historical Society, Will Hughes, who founded the Long Beach Free Press and grew the truly independent paper to the largest weekly on Long Island's South Shore in the 1980s, reprises his initial history. Full of historical photos and stories.
