Married over 27 years to a Chief with the California Highway Patrol, she authored A CHiP on my Shoulder, a realistic but positive book to help police wives in their marriages. You can find more of her writing in her blog on www.how2loveyourcop.com and postings on Facebook and Twitter. Victoria speaks to audiences throughout the United States, Canada and the Philippines. Her seminar, Backup for the Home, is available in four and eight hour increments through SAFETAC Training. She partners with Hunting4Heroes to create and present at the VOWS Retreat, a marriage conference for wounded law enforcement officers and their spouses. She also speaks with her husband, Brent, who is a seasoned trainer/presenter for the California Highway Patrol and FranklinCovey. Trained as a law enforcement chaplain, Victoria personally mentors several officer wives and has come alongside families in crisis for over fifteen years. Victoria has operated a book consulting business for the past thirteen years, collaborating, editing, and ghostwriting works on business practices, prison survival, special needs children, fantasy fiction, marriage, and a memoir from a World War II prisoner of war. She collaborated with SSG Emmett Spraktes to write Selfish Prayer: How California National Guard DUSTOFF Changed the Face of Army Medevac amid the Chaos, Carnage and Politics of War. The research of this controversial book took Victoria to several states of the Union, culminating at the White House for a Medal of Honor ceremony. The project also gave her an opportunity to see firsthand the emotional toll of war. Victoria has four children, one daughter-in-law, and resides near Sacramento, California.
