Dr. Jackson has been named one of the most influential persons of Sumner County, Tennessee.


He is married to Laurie Lanakila Smith-Jackson, and he is the father of Jeffery and Joshua, and the proud grandfather of Sanai Marie and Jeffery II. His life's motto is based upon the words of an inspirational song composed in the 1930s by Alma Bazel Androzzo and sung by Mahalia Jackson, which go, "If I can help someone as I pass along...then my living will not be in vain."
