About the Author
Dr Pamela Ugwudike is Senior Lecturer in Criminology at the School of Law, Swansea University, Wales UK, where she teaches from year 1 to masters level students. After qualifying for the bar in Nigeria, Pamela studied her masters and PhD in Wales. Her specialist subjects are Critical Criminology, Penology, Criminal Justice Policy and Practice, Deterrence, Legal Compliance and the Legitimacy of Authority. She is also an active member of the British Society of Criminology, European Society of Criminology and American Society of Criminology.
