About the Author
This is my second book; the first was Wolfsong in Georgia: Memoirs of a German Shepherd Dog Family. It consisted of stories from the lives of the four pups that my husband George and I kept after breeding a litter of German Shepherd Dogs. Encouraged by my editor and friends, as well as the warm reception my "dogoir" received (see reviews on Amazon!), I decided to follow with a collection of short stories about dogs, cats, and horses that George and I have owned and loved, or known. It is another "picture book," with photos of the animals whose stories I am telling. The photos here are in black and white so that this book will be more affordable than the first; color ink is horribly expensive. Writing is my third career. I worked in the fields of mental health, staff training, and rehabilitation for 34 years, for various Georgia state agencies. After retiring from that, I ran a consulting business in which I provided expert advice and testimony in the field of Workers' Compensation rehabilitation and specifically, catastrophic on the job injuries. I enjoyed all my jobs and I like to think I was able to help some folks. I now write for enjoyment by sharing some of George's and my favorite animal stories. As of this writing, we've been married for 40 years, and much of our lives has revolved around animals. We wouldn't have it any other way. We live in Marietta, Georgia, with our beloved, magnificent German Shepherd Dog, Jonathan. I would love to hear from you at mishaboy@bellsouth.net.
