The Book of Ecclesiastes is one of the books of the Tanakh as well as the Old Testament, written around c450-200 BCE. The book represents reflections on a person's life. Perhaps one of the most well known quotes from the third chapter (thanks to Pete Seeger's song "Turn Turn Turn " and the Byrds recorded version of the song) sets the framework for the 29 poems in this collection. Each portion of the passage serves as a subject for a poem. Each poem provides the reader an opportunity to reflect.
