About the Author
Leticia A. Fitts was born in Baltimore, Maryland. A graduate of Morgan State University, she earned her B.S. Degree in Psychology in 1998. As an innovative and spirited educator, she excelled as a teacher and reading specialist. In 2003, she received her M.A. Degree in Education from the College of Notre Dame of Maryland. With certifications to teach grades 1-6 in all subject areas, in addition to providing reading instruction for K-12 curriculums by the Maryland State Department of Education, she is a proven subject matter expert. Her published works include: African American Sheroes and Heroes and Telling our Tale.
