About the Author
Bryon Harrington has been a student of the Old West for as long as he can rember.Growing up in a small town in Vermont, he spent his childhood reading the Western tales of Louis L'Amour and Zane Grey and watching his Western heroes on television and on the silver screen. It was inevitable that he would end up living in the west. His first Western adventure was hitchhiking cross-country at the young age of 21. Seven years later, he drove west again and settled in the back country of San Diego County near the Mexican border. It dident take long for him to join the "Gaskill Brothers Gunfighters" an Old West reenactment team. Soon, he became a noted Western actor, quick draw artist, bullwhip expert and gold prospector, among other talents. More then twenty years later, he is presently the skit director for the "Hole In The Wall Gang," another reenactment group. He knew immediately that the Campo Gunfight was a significant event in the history of the Old West, but no one had ever written a novel about the December 4, 1875 shootout and Hollywood passed this one by- even though it was right under its nose. After more than ten years of research and nearly two years of writing, the true story is now complete and ready for the Old West enthusiast and the Western history buff. Here's a story that you probably have never heard of, but one that you won't soon forget- Campo: The Forgotten Gunfight.
