Description
Domenico Rea is in trouble. His banker, Jack Malone, is in prison on remand and the deal Dom is trying to make with his Colombian cocaine suppliers looks like it might be falling apart. He needs to provide Ian Gilmour with a tonne of uncut coke or else his 12 million payday will be forfeit, together with his life. So to keep his word and to stay alive, he needs to change the dynamics, and change them fast. And that will involve pulling off something no one has managed in over sixty years; breaking Jack Malone out of HMP Glasgow, the new Barlinnie, the toughest, most secure prison in Scotland. In addition, he'll need to convince the Barrera Cartel he still has what it takes to work with them, and if he can't do it with words then he'll do it with violence. But first, he has to find out exactly who his real enemy is, and when he does, he'll make them pay for being hell bent on bringing him and his Organisation down. With the Gilmour deal not all it appears, and his Colombian suppliers based in Malaga behaving strangely, Rea needs to find out exactly what is going on, and quickly. Cry for the Dead is a fast paced, exciting Scottish Noire crime novel, that will show you with inside knowledge, not only how to escape from a prison, but also how to deal with those that cross you, both supposed friends and definite enemies. Filled with twists, turns, violence and double crosses, the story moves seamlessly between Scotland and the Costa del Sol until it reaches it's final, violent, deadly conclusion, keeping you in suspense until the last page.
