Jerry Householder, builder, professor, and author, has many years of experience as a general contractor. He has built over $100 million worth of residential, commercial, and industrial projects throughout the southeastern United States. A professor for over 20 years, he holds a doctorate in civil engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Dr. Householder is a retired Distinguished Professor at Louisiana State University and continues to build homes. Emile Marchive III is an instructor in the Construction Management Department at Louisiana State University in Baton Rouge. He holds a master s degree in Building Science from Auburn University. He has been active in his family s construction business for nine years.
