When the assassin's bullet kills Janie Albert and badly wounds Pete Dover, Pete becomes more determined than ever to meet the challenge and destroy a drug trafficking ring that operates out of Memphis, Tennessee and Helena, Arkansas. The battle between Dover and the leader of the drug ring continues and there are other attempts on Dover's life. Dover simply will not back-off and he continues to fight and in the process falls in love with Alice Hunter, the FBI agent assigned to protect him. Dover is a US attorney working out of the Memphis Office and has been given the responsible of bringing Operation Delta Pride to a successful conclusion. He is able to call on all the resources of the US Government, but his most helpful support comes from his family who own and operate the Dover Detective Agency of Memphis.

About the Author
This work of fiction "For the Love of Pete" completes the "For the Love of" trilogy which has begun a new phase of my life. After retiring I was looking for something meaningful to do. Since I had been writing non- fiction for over forty years, writing seemed to be the thing for me to do. However, I wanted something different. So, I turned to fiction and to tell you the truth, I never had as much fun in my life as I did writing this trilogy. The best day of my life was April 8th 1974 when I married the former Pauline A. Thomas. After being married to Pauline (Polly) for 37 years, we have five children, five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Family has always been important to me and you can see that coming through in the books. I graduated from Jonesboro High School, Jonesboro, AR: Received a Bachelor of Arts in History and Religion from Arkansas College in Batesville, AR: And received a Master of Divinity from Memphis Theological Seminary in Memphis, TN. In my first career, I served as a United Methodist Minister for 44 years. During that time I was lucky enough to develop many good and faithful friends which I shall always cherish.
