This bilingual book presents selected poems written by Armando Romero from 1961 to 2016. This volume translated by Prof. Matthew Fehskens establishes Romero as a living legend in contemporary poetry. Armando Romero, (Cali, Colombia, 1944). Poet, novelist and literary critic, belonged to the initial group of nadaísmo, literary avant-garde movement of the 60s in Colombia. PhD in Pittsburgh, currently lives in the United States, where he is a professor emeritus at the University
of Cincinnati. He has published numerous books of poetry, fiction and essays. In 2008 he received the title of Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Athens, Greece. Matthew Fehskens (Fort Wayne, Indiana 1981) is an active scholar of Hispanic Modernism, translator, and author of short stories. His research focuses on the transatlantic dimension of Literary Modernism in Spanish.He is presently finishing a study of the prophetic discourse in Spanish and Spanish-American poets, titled "Towers of God: The Vates Poets of
Hispanic Modernism."
