About the Author
Michiel Koelewijn was born in Spakenburg, the Netherlands in 1975. He studied Business Administration at the Free University (Vrije Universiteit) in Amsterdam. In 2006, he became an entrepreneur after working for Pon in the automotive industry for eight years. This decision was motivated by his desire to earn more income while working fewer hours, thus having more time to invest in Biblical education, both as a teacher and a student. Michiel is married to Annemieke and is the father of four children: Roos, Max, Jesse, and Tom. He is the co-founder and partner of the company Education Purchasing Group (Onderwijs Inkoop Groep) Ltd., as well as, the owner of Purchasing Broker (Inkoop Broker). Both companies focus on procurement savings. In 2004, Michiel and his family joined the Evangelical Church of Zeewolde (again here: Evangelical means something different that Evangelisch....? Keep?) where he and his wife have served in the leadership team for many years. Their functions include being elders and being responsible for educational programs. From 2010 to 2011, Michiel studied at Charis Bible College, the Netherlands in Naarden, the Netherlands. CBC is part of Andrew Wommack Ministries. His interest in God's economy began many years ago, in 1999, after he read God's Plan for Your Money by Derek Prince. Triggered by the way Prince explains how Jesus also died for our prosperity, he began his own investigation, researching deeper into this concept. As he researched, he discovered that this topic was covered in a great deal of controversy. This controversy has kept the principles of Biblical prosperity from being discussed and preached in many churches, especially in the Netherlands. As he studied and continued to have his own experiences with God in the areas of business and finance, a desire began to grow inside of Michiel to let people know how these principles worked. This eventually led to the writing of this book, God's Economy. The author's goal is for readers to discover what the real Biblical meaning of prosperity is. For them to know that God wants them to be prosperous, to live their lives abundantly. Not merely for themselves, but in order to build His Kingdom here and now.
