Hiking the Spanish, Portuguese, and French Caminos

This book is about my soulful experiences that I was able to experience as I walked along the three different countries' Caminos. First of all, it's about the relationships that were developed along the trail and many of the personal heart warming experiences that people shared with me as we were strolling along together. Some were sad but many were humorous and all were enjoyable. Secondly, i've included some of the legends and stories that have grown up around different villages over the many years of pilgrimage. Finally, I have written down some of my own musings that came to mind in solitary meditation after an encounter with some interesting fellow pilgrim or it may have been when I was just communicating with the splendors of Mother Nature. As an extra, I have included our little adventures that my wife Lyla and I may have taken before we started hiking or at the end of each hiking journey. I have also written up some advice on what to take on your very first hike. I gave my own opinion on what I thought were the merits of hiking the three different Caminos. If you decide to go, I wish you some fine adventures like I have had. Buen Camino.

About the Author
This book describes a dream of a lifetime travel experience that I was fortunate to have. I have hiked along the various trails throughout all of Canada, from the high Arctic to the beautiful coastal regions on both the western and eastern regions. I have also hiked along areas of the US, from Alaska to Hawaii and many points in between. Each trail holds its own particular points of interest. However, when you've hiked the Camino as I have, the trail gets a grip on your soul and it never lets go. You keep wanting to go back. I am a person who loves all the pursuits of outdoor life and nature. Protecting our environment is so important to me. The beauty of being one with nature is embodied in some many aspects of the Camino Trail. That's why I have tried to include so much of this in my book. The language of the book is meant for all ages to simply read and enjoy. It's also meant to create a spark of interest in the reader to rise from the comforts of the chair, pick up your hiking gear and surge forward unto a totally new adventure like no other you may ever experience.
