About the Author
Natalia Doan studied Japanese at Vassar College and graduated with a double major in English and Japanese. She also studied at Ochanomizu University in Tokyo and Nanzan University in Nagoya. She taught English to elementary and middle school students in Osaka, where she lived during the Tohoku earthquake. During her time in Japan, she also modeled multiple collections for a Kyoto fashion house, wrote for an ex-pat magazine, and worked for a Japanese company.
