About the Author
A native of Seattle, author Julianne Chase Patton grew up in the Great Land, where she lived in nearly every region of the state, spending the longest time in Southeast Alaska, her favorite region. A graduate of the University of Alaska, Fairbanks, she worked as a newspaper reporter and editor for more than 14 years. In addition to being the author of "Inside Passage Walking Tours," she wrote and edited two other travel guides, the first edition of the "Alaska Wilderness Milepost" and "Backcountry Alaska," a travel book in the Alaska Geographic series. Juli visited Alaska regularly while working for one of the world's largest cruise lines. She and her husband Kevin live in the Puget Sound region of Washington State.
