About the Author
Myrna M. Zambrano, a graduate of Yale University, is the daughter of naturalized Mexican parents. She has worked as a counselor and advocate for battered women; she wrote and produced the Rape Awareness and Prevention Program, a bilingual radio series; served as president of the San Diego Coordination Council Against Sexual Assault, and directed that city's first bilingual/bicultural rape crisis program. She now works as a counselor, educator, and public speaker for battered Latinas.
