About the Author
Myrtle Marie Reed prefers to go by "Marie" or "Granny" to those who know her best. She was born in Ivanhoe Texas in 1920. This is where she met her husband and committed herself to serving the Lord as a dedicated mother to five children. She has enjoyed writing poetry nearly all her life and has published some pieces in local newspapers from time to time.
