About the Author
Jeff Byard is an Airline Pilot and A&P/IA Mechanic who has been flying since 1967. He first learned to fly at El Mirage Field, CA as a 14 year old in Gus Briegleb's WWII surplus Schweizer TG-3 sailplanes. He is active in the restoration, maintaining and flying of various antique aircraft and regularly flies his Baby Albatross and modern Genesis 2 sailplanes at the Mountain Valley Airport in Tehachapi, CA.
