Description
Half a century ago, students and a few advisors founded the Washington State University Rowing Club. The fledgling organization built a boathouse and held their first race--using well-worn donated practice shells--in April, 1972. A women's squad followed in 1974. The only varsity club on campus, they are scrappy, tightly knit, and intensely dedicated. Enamored by the sheer grit of the physical challenges, strong camaraderie, and the thrilling sensation of perfectly synchronized strokes, they head to a transformative experience on the Snake River.
