read only memory: English-German Poetry

I have been writing poetry all my life. Most were recorded in written notes, often casually, later on computers and iPhones. "read only memory" summarizes them retrospectively, starting with early memories. Many are of a personal nature, others observations in (media-driven) everyday life. Born in post-war Germany, I came into contact with American/Anglo-Saxon culture. Its language and music have influenced my writing. My thinking, too. Anyway, I wrote the poems in German and English to compare my feelings and memories from both points of view.
