This children's book has poetic way of capturing the reality of the ups and downs of life along with the hope of new tomorrows and brighter days. The book uses fairies as the keepers of dandelions, or as the title reveals, the fuzzy wishing puffs. The fairies rely on hope and prayer as they prepare the dandelion dust to fly away before the next heavy rain comes. The book emphasizes the importance of the dandelions due to the belief children have in them to make their wishes come true. As I have always believed, wishes are simply a child's prayer. The inspiration for this book came from Bethany's childlike love of dandelions and the difficult seasons she has grown through.
