About the Author Simone Joye Eford is a visionary, charismatic social entrepreneur and public speaker with a career which includes nonprofit leadership in New York, New Jersey and Georgia. Simone is a national award-winning humanitarian, million-dollar fundraiser, and three-time executive director and the founder of two nonprofits-The National Association of Nonprofit Professionals (nanpp.org) and Young People Matter (YPM), an organization which provided emergency shelter and services to homeless, runaway and sexually-exploited young people. As a nonprofit and media communications consultant, Simone has worked on behalf of a myriad of nonprofits, elected officials, entertainers and individuals including: PSE&G, Radio One Atlanta, Boys & Girls Clubs, the YWCA of Greater New York, along with the governments of Bermuda and Ghana. Simone has also served as a board member of the National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) and on the advisory board member of the Roddy White Foundation.
