About the Author
Philip Giordano was born in Savona, Italy and studied art in Milan and Turin. An illustrator for children's books, magazines, cartoons, and toy design, he draws inspiration from his Asian origins, Japan residency, and love for Japanese animations, especially Studio Ghibli. His picture books have been translated into several languages and have won multiple awards, including the International Award for Illustration at the Bologna Book Fair (2010), the Andersen Prize (2017), and Taiwan's Best Young Readers' Book of the Year (2021).

Carlo Collodi was an Italian author and journalist, best known as the creator of Pinocchio, the childlike puppet whose adventures continue to captivate children all over the world.
