About the Author
William Naumes is Associate Professor Emeritus of Management at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. He received a bachelor's degree in Industrial and Labor Relations and Masters in Business Administration from Cornell University. He received a PhD in Business from Stanford University. He has written more than one hundred cases and instructor's notes published in journals and more than one dozen texts, including seven of his own books. His research is in the areas of entrepreneurship, strategic management, and corporate social responsibility. Professor Naumes has participated in numerous case workshops and case-review panels throughout the world. He has served as the Program Chair and President for the North American Case Research Association (NACRA). He also served as Editor of the Case Research Journal. Professor Naumes was the co-recipient of the Curtis E. Tate Jr. Outstanding Case Writer Award, the Emerson Award for the Outstanding Case in Business Ethics, and the Gold Award at NACRA. He is a Fellow of NACRA and the CASE Association.,
Margaret J. Naumes is a senior lecturer in Management (retired) at the Whittemore School of Business and Economics at the University of New Hampshire. She received a BA in Economics from Connecticut College, an MA and PhD in Economics from Stanford University, and an MBA from Clark University. Her research interests include social entrepreneurship, managerial decision making, and ethics. She has lectured and led workshops on case writing throughout the United States, Europe, and Asia, and is author of cases published in the Case Research Journal and elsewhere. She has served as editor of The CASE Journal. She was the co-recipient of the Curtis E. Tate Jr. Outstanding Case Writer Award, co-recipient of the Emerson Award for the Outstanding Case in Business Ethics, and co-recipient of the Gold Award for the best case as presented at the annual meeting of the North American Case Research Association. She is a Fellow of the CASE Association and of NACRA.
