Lynn Hunt (Ph.D., Stanford University) is Distinguished Research Professor at University of California, Los Angeles. She is the author or editor of nineteen books on human rights, the French Revolution, and historical methods more generally. Her books have been translated into fourteen languages. She was President of the American Historical Association in 2002 and has been awarded distinguished teaching awards by University of California, Berkeley, University of California, Los Angeles, and the American Historical Association.
