Description
Reprint of the 1955 book. This is the first general book of honey recipes to be published. The author researched ancient honey cookery and found best-known recipes were in use earlier than A.D. 1600. Honey is used to advantage in many kinds of cooking that ordinarily call for sugar, including with meat and vegetable recipes. Honey adds an unmistakable flavor and blends well with other ingredients. Despite its apparent stickness it makes beautifully smooth doughs when mixed with flour and cereals; bowls and hands come out clean, almost waxy.
Recipes are groups into eight sections.
