He also draws extensively from his deep Southern heritage. Michael is a former Naval Officer and Navy SEAL who served over twenty-six years on active duty. He was awarded a Bronze Star during Desert Storm and numerous other personal awards during a long and illustrious career. Once retired, he became the Executive Director of the Navy SEAL Museum.
