Description
This dark-humored, satirical novel, set in the humble outskirts of Madrid, explores the pressures of modern life under the influence of advertising. Angelina, - formerly Mari Pili - tries to escape from a life she considers vulgar by taking refuge in a parasocial relationship with her favorite Hollywood actress and in the consumption of luxury goods with which she develops a fetishistic obsession. Gradually, Mari Pili becomes immersed in the virtual world of social media and believes she has found love. But, ultimately, real life always breaks through.
